Our family’s 17 year-old Golden Labrador/Chow mix is a member of our family. Not only that, but she saved my mother’s life a decade ago from a bunch of rabid raccoons. So, to see her suffer from arthritis in her paws is heartbreaking. Aspirin was tearing up her stomach, and the veterinarian suggested I use Rimadyl. I reluctantly tried it, and saw a difference in only a few days! After one week like seven days or so, I really saw her perk up and RUN up the steps we have made of brick! Last summer she FELL directly on her tailbone off of the deck, over 6 feet. She shook it off, and walked away! The veterinarian was amazed that she was not paralyzed. The veterinarian attributes this to the glucosamine and condroitin I give her twice daily and the Rimadyl. The cold really affects animals like it does us, and it gets cold in Tennessee as well. The wind chill factor was down to 11 degrees here last night, and there are still 2 more weeks ’til Christmas. I’m buying her more Rimadyl! If you love your aging dog, you should, too. You won’t believe the difference. (Give up that extra cup of coffee at Starbucks, your best friend can’t ask you for pain meds, but he/she needs ‘em, too!) Just be SURE to give AFTER they have eaten, to avoid potential stomach upset. You’re in for a pleasant surprise!
